We are successful and growing civil construction company based in North Houston seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team! You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records for our company.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and analyze reporting for business operations and budgets
• Perform process reviews, ensuring adherence to standard requirements
• Create new processes to improve financial efficiency
• Report analysis and findings to Controller and CFO.
• Bank and vendor reconciliations monthly, calculate and record journal entries.

​ Preferred Qualifications:

• YOU MUST HAVE CURRENT EXPERIENCE IN THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY.
• Strong knowledge and experience in GAAP, Work in progress, vendor liens and reconciliations.
• Knowledge of ERP (Foundation Software) systems, must have current general ledger experience and knowledge.
• Detail and deadline-oriented, organizational skills.
• Excel pivot tables, XLookup and equivalent skills used daily.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks is a must.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferred Bilingual in English and Spanish is a bonus.

Requirements:

· Proven experience as construction accounting or in a similar role.

· Expert-level knowledge of QuickBooks (including reconciliations, reporting, etc.).

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic understanding of accounting principles.

· Proficient in Outlook and Microsoft software.

· Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.

Experience: At least 3-4 years accounting experience.
