Registered Nurse – Rural ICU / Med SurgImmediate need for a talented Registered Nurse – Rural ICU / Med Surg (Adult, Peds, Step Down). This is a 13 weeks contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Portales, NM (Onsite). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.Pay Range: Weekly Gross Pay: $2,312.16 (subject to completion of scheduled hours)Shift: Nights – 12-hour shifts (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)Expected Hours: 36 hours per weekContract Length: 13 weeksKey ResponsibilitiesPerform head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policyRevise standard of care as indicated by patient's response to treatmentFormulate teaching plan based on identified learning needs; evaluate effectivenessAssess and reassess pain management techniques; educate patient and familyCommunicate appropriately to Nurse Manager, co-workers, and physiciansConsult other departments for interdisciplinary approach to patient needsIdentify and address psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and religious/spiritual needsInteract professionally with patient/family; involve them in plan of careEnsure documentation meets current standards and policiesManage and operate equipment safely and correctlyCoordinate and supervise patient care as necessary within licensureKey Requirements and Technology ExperienceMinimum 3 years of recent RN experience in ICU, Med Surg, or Step DownExperience with adult, pediatric, and geriatric patient populations requiredCurrent New Mexico RN license required (must be currently active)Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA preferred)Meditech EMR experience preferredHoliday coverage requiredLocals are accepted – no radius restrictionOur client is a leading Healthcare Industry, and we are currently interviewing to fill this and other similar contract positions.
