Role

The IT Support Specialist at AE Business Solutions provides frontline technical support and assistance to end users across the organization, ensuring timely resolution of help desk requests and technical issues. This hands-on role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing equipment setup and deployment, and supporting the IT Operations Manager with day-to-day technology needs. The IT Support Specialist plays a key role in reducing help desk ticket volume and improving the overall employee technology experience by handling routine support requests and equipment tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and effective responses to help desk requests and technical support issues
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues for end users
• Set up, configure, and deploy laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals for new and existing employees
• Manage equipment inventory, business applications, and applicable licensing
• Assist with onboarding and offboarding technology needs, including account provisioning and equipment collection
• Support the IT Operations Manager with routine maintenance of network infrastructure, servers, and cloud platforms
• Document technical issues, resolutions, and standard operating procedures
• Escalate complex issues to the IT Operations Manager as needed
• Assist with monitoring system performance and security metrics
• Deliver basic training and support to end users on new technologies and processes
• Maintain organized records of tickets, equipment assignments, and warranty/support information

Required Skills & Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field preferred
• CompTIA A+ certification required
• CompTIA Network+ certification required
• One or more years of experience in IT support, help desk, or related role preferred
• Basic knowledge of network infrastructure, servers, and enterprise applications
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and common business applications
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to translate technical concepts into business language for stakeholders
