Location: Pensacola, Florida (Hybrid)

Role Overview

This role provides substantive legal and administrative support to the Office of General Counsel with respect to legal matters involving the organization and its subsidiary entities. The position requires management of a high volume of complex matters, supporting workplace investigations, and serving as a liaison with outside counsel and internal clients. This is a hybrid role requiring four days a week in the office.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage intake of legal matters and provide an initial analysis of the impact on the organization.
• Provide prompt, concise, and comprehensive responses to all communications.
• Manage high-volume, complex matters and prepare counsel in advance of calls and/or deadlines.
• Proactively monitor legal matters, including preparing written summaries, case status reports, and tracking case calendars.
• Demonstrate a positive, proactive attitude that enables independent work, sound judgment, effective problem-solving, and appropriate escalation when needed.
• Serve as a liaison with outside counsel, internal clients, court officials, and other relevant contacts.
• Support workplace investigations by working with internal clients to collect, review, and summarize information and documents.
• Proofread and maintain legal documents, business communications, correspondence, and other written materials.
• Conduct factual and legal research, support coordination of fact investigations, and prepare attorneys for depositions, hearings, and trial.
• Draft business communications, reports, correspondence, and other written materials for organizational use.
• Ensure maintenance of the Office of General Counsel legal library/database, including the electronic document management system.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Experience: There is a preference for paralegal experience over lawyering experience.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Word is required.
