Innovations Support Professional (ISP) / Community Networking (Part Time) Location: Sanford, NC Starting Pay: $14.96 Summary The Innovations Support Professional is responsible for supporting adults with developmental disabilities in a community-based setting. The role requires active teamwork, daily oversight of resident care, and adherence to Baptist Children's Homes of NC policies and procedures. This is a part‑time position. Qualifications Min. 21 years old. High school diploma or equivalent; higher education preferred. Ability to read, write, and follow instructions. No substantiated findings of abuse or neglect on the North Carolina Health Care Personnel Registry. Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred but not required. Core skills: technical knowledge, cultural awareness, analytical skills, decision‑making, interpersonal skills, communication skills, clinical skills. Education, experience, or skills that meet job responsibilities. Christian spirit and lifestyle evident in daily actions. Valid driver’s license. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Demonstrate a Christian spirit and lifestyle in daily actions. Maintain working knowledge of the agency’s structure, services, policies, and procedures. Provide habilitation and personal care services per individual person‑centered plans. Offer training, instruction, and supervision to support skill development. Assist with activities of daily living as required. Support participation in home, community, and leisure activities. Maintain confidentiality of resident records. Document services accurately according to CAP regulations and administrative direction. Collaborate with Direct Support Professionals to ensure resident safety and a positive work environment. Report resident progress, concerns, accidents, and incidents to the Administrator. Follow sanitation, safety, and building code requirements. Cooperate with licensing and monitoring agencies. Perform additional duties as assigned. Respect cultural and socioeconomic diversity among staff and residents. Participate in the agency’s Performance Quality Improvement program as needed. Supervision Works under direct supervision of the Group Home Administrator or Qualified Professional. Participates in new staff orientation and ongoing training sessions. Engages in 90‑day and annual performance evaluations. Maintains open communication with the supervisor and requests conferences to perform tasks effectively. Attends treatment team, planning, and other agency meetings as directed. Professionalism/Teamwork Represents BCH professionally to individuals, groups, and the public. Adheres to professional standards set by the agency. Keeps team members informed of changes and respects team rights. Policies and Procedures Maintain all handbooks and support materials. Accurate record‑keeping of accidents, incidents, resident funds, and other data. Administer medications correctly and maintain medication records. Participate in all required in‑service training. Ensure residents exercise the rights listed in the Domiciliary Home Resident’s Bill of Rights. Respond to grievances per agency policies. Equipment Proficient with Microsoft applications; able to operate standard kitchen equipment; must be able to drive a 12‑passenger van and enter/exit it unassisted. Language Skills Read, write, and complete documentation accurately; present information and respond to questions from supervisors, parents, teachers, counselors, and team members. Contact With Others Maintain regular contact with colleagues across departments and with external individuals and groups; represent BCH positively in all interactions. Mental / Visual / Auditory Demand Interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, or scheduled instructions and draw appropriate conclusions. Confidential Data Comply with agency policies and HIPAA regulations regarding client information, case records, family data, medical and psychological information, to avoid adverse internal and external effects and potential termination. Physical Demands Regular driving and entry/exit of a 12‑passenger van; walking, standing, reaching, speaking, hearing; lifting up to 15 lbs; routine tasks required to perform job duties. Work Environment Primary setting is a group home environment.
