- General Emergency Department skillset, including cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Experience with critical care drips, peripheral IV starts, TNK/TPA administration, and conscious sedation
Description:
This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department.
The facility has a 16-bed free-standing emergency department.
It offers 24/7 on-site X-ray, CT, and Ultrasound services.
The average number of Emergency Department visits per day is approximately 68.
The patient population includes all ages with a range of common diagnoses including behavioral health issues.
The admission rate is approximately 10%.
The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:4.
Support within the department includes a Charge RN without patient assignment and a paramedic on-site.
Respiratory therapists are available 24/7 to assist with patient care.
The department utilizes electronic medical records via a specified system.
Staffing during the night includes four RNs starting at the beginning of the shift.
Floating to other facilities in the region is required based on needs.
Schedules involve rotating weekends and travelers will work 75% of recognized holidays.
Requests for time off can be approved up to six days, excluding holiday weeks.
Navy blue scrubs are the designated color for this position.
