Project Logistics Coordinator

The Project Logistics Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the movement of materials, equipment, and resources for construction projects. This role ensures timely delivery of supplies, compliance with safety standards, and efficient coordination between vendors, subcontractors, and site teams to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

You'll get the opportunity to travel across the US, helping our team build infrastructure projects. This is a traveling position that requires travel up to 100% of the time. You may support projects located in various states throughout the US. Potential project locations may include, but are not limited to, PA, KS, NC, SC, VA, GA, TX, FL, IA, and WY, with additional locations added frequently as our organization continues to grow.

Responsibilities

Functions:

• Logistics Planning & Scheduling: Develop and maintain delivery schedules for materials and equipment. Coordinate transportation and storage of construction materials. Anticipate potential delays and implement contingency plans.
• Vendor & Supplier Coordination: Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely procurement and delivery. Negotiate shipping terms and manage freight logistics.
• Site Coordination: Work closely with site supervisors to align deliveries with project timelines. Ensure proper handling and storage of materials on-site.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records of shipments, permits, and delivery receipts. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and local building codes.
• Budget & Cost Control: Monitor logistics-related expenses and assist in cost optimization. Prepare reports on material usage and delivery performance.
• Communication: Act as the point of contact for logistics-related issues between project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers. Provide regular updates on delivery status and resolve any logistical challenges.

Qualifications

Work Experience and Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred). 2–4 years of experience in construction logistics or project coordination. Strong knowledge of construction processes and material handling. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project). Excellent organizational and communication skills. Time management and multitasking. Problem-solving under tight deadlines. Understanding of transportation regulations and safety standards.
