Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Mortgage Loan Officer based in Boise, ID, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Mortgage Loan Officer will originate and manage residential mortgage loans, guiding borrowers from initial consultation through application, underwriting, and closing. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting and building relationships with referral partners, assessing borrower needs, collecting and verifying documentation, and presenting suitable loan products aligned with company guidelines. The role involves collaborating closely with underwriting, processing, and closing teams to ensure timely decisions and smooth loan experiences, while maintaining regulatory compliance and accurate records. The Mortgage Loan Officer will also provide clear, professional communication, deliver ongoing client education, and uphold high standards of ethical and responsible lending. Qualifications Strong knowledge of the Mortgage Industry and Mortgage Lending practices, including conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, and specialty loan products. Experience working as a Loan Officer, with a proven track record in residential loan origination and client relationship management. Understanding of Underwriting principles and guidelines, with the ability to evaluate borrower documentation and credit risk. Excellent Customer Service skills, including clear communication, active listening, and the ability to guide clients through the lending process. Relevant state mortgage loan originator (MLO) license or eligibility to obtain required licensing. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, collaborating with in-office and remote team members. Strong organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills, with proficiency in mortgage origination systems and basic office software. Experience building referral networks with real estate agents, builders, and other partners is highly beneficial.
