Desired Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a classroom support role is preferred
• Compassion, patience, and adaptability when working with elementary-aged children
• Understanding of the needs of students in communication and social development programs
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to follow classroom plans and support instructional goals under the guidance of the lead teacher

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and group assistance to students, adapting support as needed
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborate with teachers to implement instructional activities and classroom routines
• Support students in developing academic and social competencies
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
