Quality Manager

Responsibilities Establish, implement, and manage an effective Contractor Quality Control System (CQC) in compliance with the contract and company policies. Review all engineering drawings, specifications, codes, procurement documents, and subcontractors to ensure technical information is up-to-date and work performed meets latest revisions. Schedule, prepare, administer, and perform Contractor Three Phase inspections for each feature of work performed. Perform, monitor, coordinate and supervise specified tests by employees and subcontractors to verify control measures. Inspect and check all materials and equipment for specification and MTR compliance. Participate in Owner’s meetings, providing reporting and status updates of the quality program. Review and respond to all submittals received and coordinate work with Owner’s quality representative. Maintain all necessary reports, files, documentation to document quality control activities and tests have been performed. Maintain and manage the project punch process. Cooperate with all team members and inform them of non-compliance work and take action necessary to ensure contract compliance and completion of all outstanding items. Work closely with the Safety Manager to ensure compliance. Manage and direct all project-based CQC team members, including subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and 3rd-party inspection and testing groups. Verify and document exposure reports, daily reports, three-phase control reports, test reports, equipment checks and inspections, activity schedule, warranty requirements, and definable features of the work. Technical Skills and Knowledge Demonstrated experience managing a Quality Control Plan and following quality control processes and procedures. Advanced knowledge of MS Office and quality management software. Ability to learn new software quickly. Advanced understanding of applicable codes, standards, and compliance requirements. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering, Quality Management or related field; or equivalent experience. Minimum of eight years of construction experience, including a minimum of seven years in quality control for major public works and commercial/industrial construction projects. CQM certification preferred. Behavioral Competencies Ability to effectively lead, develop, and mentor junior staff while building and maintaining team morale. Commitment to ethical standards and transparency in quality processes. Ability to identify and address safety issues. Compensation Range of base pay is $133,000 - $154,800.
