High Point Family and Marriage Counseling is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in Champaign, Illinois. The successful candidate will engage in full-time work, primarily in a remote setting, while also providing in-person counseling in our outpatient office. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual, couples, and family therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to the unique needs of each client.

• Assess clients’ mental health conditions, establish treatment goals, and formulate comprehensive treatment plans.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention when necessary and support clients in managing high-stress scenarios effectively.
\n
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) software to manage client documentation, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality.

• Engage in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance therapeutic skills and keep abreast of best practices in mental health treatment.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community organizations to promote holistic care approaches and resource awareness for clients.

• Participate in marketing initiatives as needed, including community outreach and educational workshops that provide valuable information about mental health resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our practice serves a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families, with particular sensitivity to the cultural, social, and economic backgrounds of each individual. We focus on providing a safe environment where clients can explore issues related to trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and other life stressors. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited program.
\n
• An active and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Illinois.
\n
• Strong communication skills, with proficiency in both English and Spanish to provide bilingual therapy services.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-graduate experience in a clinical setting, working with diverse populations.
\n
• Cultural competence and sensitivity to the unique dynamics and needs of families from different backgrounds.
\n
• Experience with treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer programs, including Microsoft Office.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and car insurance, as travel for community outreach may be required.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Specialization in niche areas such as trauma, LGBTQ+ issues, grief and loss, or perinatal mental health.

• Previous experience in a managed care setting and being part of multiple insurance panels.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to provide telehealth sessions in a secure and HIPAA-compliant manner.
