This role offers the flexibility of a remote work setting combined with engagement in an outpatient office environment. The mental health counselor can enjoy a work-life balance with a regular schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, while also collaborating with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for elderly individuals living in our communities.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for elderly clients, identifying their unique emotional and psychological care needs.

• Deliver both individual and group counseling sessions that effectively address common emotional challenges such as anxiety, depression, and grief related to aging and life transitions.

• Collaborate with healthcare providers—including nurses, social workers, and other clinicians—to develop and implement personalized care plans for geriatric residents.

• Educate families and caregivers on strategies to foster emotional well-being and enhance the quality of life for elderly individuals.

• Provide specialized grief and loss counseling to clients and their families, particularly those facing end-of-life issues.

Our center primarily serves older adults who are navigating the complexities of aging. We focus on clients dealing with various mental health challenges, including but not limited to dementia-related issues, grief from loss, anxiety about aging, and difficulties during life transitions. Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

Compensation and Benefits\n
