Sales Consultant

OpExpert- Consulting

Our Client is a custom cabinetry company specializing in designing, manufacturing, and installing cabinets for residential and commercial spaces. Our Sales Consultants are the primary point of contact for clients throughout the entire project lifecycle — from initial showroom visit through final installation. This role blends design expertise, consultative selling, and project ownership.

Position Details

Job Type: Full-Time

Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Location: 3810 N. Quinlan Park Rd, Austin, TX 78732 (On-site)

Compensation: Base salary + commission based on active sales performance

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of cabinetry design and sales experience
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with 20/20 Design software
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Demonstrated experience in residential and/or commercial interior design
  • Proven track record collaborating with architects, designers, craftsmen, and installers

Preferred

  • Degree in Interior Design or a related field

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement

  • Greet and welcome clients to the showroom, building rapport and identifying their design goals
  • Conduct showroom tours and coordinate on-site space measurements for residential and commercial projects
  • Advise clients on product selection, design solutions, and budget alignment
  • Create and deliver compelling sales presentations tailored to each client's needs
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients at every stage of the project

Design & Quoting

  • Use 20/20 software to develop accurate, creative cabinetry designs and project quotes
  • Research and stay current on Appenin products, new offerings, and industry design trends
  • Gather detailed client objectives to effectively brief and collaborate with the in-house design team

Order Management

  • Manage the full order process from design finalization through product selection and documentation
  • Proofread all design specifications and order documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Serve as the client's primary point of contact from initial consultation through project completion
  • Complete all required sales paperwork in a timely and accurate manner

Sales & Business Development

  • Set and pursue individual sales targets aligned with company goals
  • Monitor and analyze personal sales metrics to continuously improve performance
  • Proactively reach out to prospective clients to introduce Appenin's products and services
  • Conduct competitive research to stay informed on the market landscape
  • Collaborate with the management team on marketing strategies and initiatives
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, design professionals, architects, and real estate contacts

Showroom & Team

  • Contribute to a clean, organized, and welcoming showroom environment
  • Interact regularly with the in-store design team to ensure project continuity
  • Represent Appenin at client visits, industry events, and community engagements as needed

Expectations & Conduct

  • Act with integrity and exercise sound ethical judgment in all client and business interactions
  • Demonstrate punctuality, professionalism, and a strong commitment to results
  • Maintain flexibility to attend off-site visits and industry events
  • Keep all company trade secrets, pricing models, marketing strategies, and client information strictly confidential, both during and after employment
