Minimum 6 months Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Bring your commitment to student success to a contract paraprofessional opportunity supporting K–12 learners. This position is ideal for those with experience in elementary, middle, or high school classroom settings, ready to make a direct impact by working one-on-one with students who have moderate to severe learning and behavioral needs.
You’ll provide 32 hours per week of dedicated assistance, helping implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and fostering an environment where students can thrive academically and socially. Collaborate with educators and allied school professionals to encourage positive behaviors, facilitate communication, and support each student’s growth throughout the school day.
Key Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting, preferably K–12
- Understanding of educational interventions and support for students with diverse learning and behavioral profiles
- Familiarity with implementing IEPs and behavior strategies
- Strong communication abilities and an empathetic, patient demeanor
- Comfort working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff
- Adaptability to changing classroom environments and student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized academic and behavioral assistance throughout the school day
- Aid students in following their IEPs and daily routines
- Encourage participation and independence in classroom activities
- Assist with data collection and progress monitoring as directed by teachers
- Support and reinforce positive behavior interventions
- Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive school atmosphere
