Civil CAD Designer

Position SummaryThe CAD Designer I assists in CAD production, design coordination, and standards compliance. This position supports project success by coordinating with team members to deliver high-quality project documentation while meeting deadlines and company standards.ResponsibilitiesAssist in the preparation of quality Land Development Plans, Zoning Plans, Concept Plans, and ExhibitsAbility to utilize multiple software applications in the preparation of Land Development PlansAbility to apply municipal design standards for layout restrictions and guidelinesCoordinate files and sharing with outside agenciesAbility to perform tasks based on CAD coordination between Engineers, CAD Designers, and Project Managers on projectsEnsure drawing deliverables meet scope, schedule, budget, regulatory requirements, and company standardsApply best practices to workflows and meet project milestones and timelinesMaintain drawing file organization in accordance with company standards and proper archiving proceduresPerform progressive plan checks and final-level QA/QC reviews to ensure drawing accuracy, constructability, and consistency prior to submissionEstablish, maintain, and enforce CAD standards, workflows, and best practices, including client templates, CAD training presentations, and written or recorded guidesMentor CAD users alongside CAD Management and serve as a technical resourceEncourage continuous improvement, automation, and innovation among CAD users while embracing new technologies and softwareParticipate in cross-office work sharing while maintaining responsibility for assigned deliverablesPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsAssociate degree in Engineering Technology, CAD, or a related field preferred; or one (1) year of professional experience utilizing CADUnderstanding of CAD principles and drafting practicesUnderstanding of land development principles and practicesKnowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesAbility to participate in CAD workflows and maintain project timelinesAbility to problem solve and resolve issues related to CAD drawingsAbility to prioritize and manage multiple assignments effectivelyAbility to resolve issues as directedStrong attention to detail while maintaining consistent workflow qualityWillingness to assume increased responsibilitiesWillingness and ability to expand CAD knowledge through training and professional developmentAbility to work as a team player and interact effectively with othersAbility to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointWhy Join Dynamic?At Dynamic, we believe great careers are built through meaningful work, continuous growth, and strong relationships.
