Structured Finance Associate

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Structured Finance Associate to join its finance group in Boston, MA. The role focuses on transactions involving commercial‑mortgage backed securities (CMBS) and offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment. Duties Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case preparation. Draft well‑reasoned legal documents, including briefs and contracts. Assist in managing complex transactions from inception to resolution. Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional interaction. Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative transaction strategies. Participate in high‑level legal activities such as negotiations and trials. Ensure compliance with legal standards and stay updated on legal precedents. Engage in professional development to enhance legal and leadership skills. Contribute to firm programs, civic organizations, and pro bono work. Requirements At least 2 years of experience in a law firm setting. Experience in commercial real estate finance, CMBS, or structured finance preferred. AmLaw 100 law firm experience preferred but not required. Education JD degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Admitted to practice in the state of office location. Skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Strong research, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Attention to detail and good business judgment. Ability to work collaboratively and independently. Persuasive communication and management skills.
