Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Central New York

Start Date: October 18, 2026

Location: Central New York

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Evening/Night shift, 2:30 PM - 3:00 AM. Floating to other units may be required based on facility needs.

Highlights:

• High-acuity 64-bed Emergency Department treating stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Patient population includes newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatric patients across multiple treatment areas including trauma bays, acute care, super track, CDU, and psychiatric observation
• Experience with specialty equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun therapeutic temperature management system
• EPIC electronic medical record system in use
• Charge nurse capability highly preferred
• Travel assignment requiring documented travel nursing experience

Requirements:

• Active New York RN license (verified through NURSYS)
• Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department experience with pediatric patient care
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Proficiency with critical drips and medications including pressors (Levophed, Neosynephrine, Epinephrine, Vasopressin, Dobutamine, Dopamine), vasodilators (Cleviprex, Cardene, Nitroglycerin), anti-arrhythmics (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lidocaine), sedation (Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl), TNK, Heparin, and Insulin
• Valid driver's license
• Must reside 75+ miles from facility to qualify for travel rates; local rates available for candidates within 75 miles
