HR Specialist

Job Type: Temporary / Contract (1-Year Duration) Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (On-site) Position Overview Mars / Royal Canin is seeking a driven HR Specialist to join our team at our newest, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Lewisburg, OH. Following our grand opening in May 2025, our site is in a transformative ramp-up phase. In this role, you will partner directly with the People & Organization (P&O) Business Partner and site leadership to audit, establish, and govern core talent acquisition, staffing, and onboarding processes. Key Responsibilities Onboarding & Process Optimization: Audit and evaluate the effectiveness of the site’s current 30/60/90-day onboarding program during your first 90 days. Process Creation & Governance: Draft, implement, and govern sustainable recruitment and onboarding workflows to support ongoing site growth. Stakeholder Support: Assist line managers with talent acquisition and staffing processes while ensuring adherence to HR policies and compliance. Data & Auditing: Gather accurate workforce data, identify process gaps, and establish tracking mechanisms to maintain program sustainability. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the P&O Business Partner, Talent Acquisition Partners, Site Senior Leadership, and plant associates. Qualifications Basic Qualifications Education: High School Diploma required (Bachelor’s degree preferred). Experience: 2–3 years of clerical, administrative, or foundational HR experience. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Communication: Above-average oral and written communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with individuals at all organizational levels. Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of dedicated HR experience (HR Coordinator / HR Specialist background). Demonstrated experience in HR process creation, workflow documentation, and change management. Strong data accuracy, organization, and analytical skills. Why Join Us?
