New Restaurant Opening in Downtown Newton! Vespers Restaurant, we are a Fine Casual Mediterranean Kitchen and Martini Bar. The concept is that of a fine service when it comes to quality of food, drinks and service in a casual atmosphere.

We will be conducting OPEN INTERVIEWS, which means that during the slated dates and times you can come in and interview with the managers. PLEASE bring a resume and come prepared. Both of us are 20+ years of experience managing restaurants so if you come in unprepared we will turn you away. If you are unable to print your resume, when you come I will give you an email to send you resume to when you arrive and I will print it on site.

Open Interviews:

Saturday 10/24 - 1pm to 4pm

Sunday 10/25 - 12pm to 2pm

Tuesday 10/27 - 2pm to 5pm

Wednesday 10/28 - 2pm to 5pm

We are looking for all positions including the following:

Line Cooks/Dish Prep - Both Hot and Cold. Looking for experienced people, but most of all looking for those who are looking to learn and develop as we are an upgrade to many kitchen techniques and skills that the area is not too familiar with. We WILL pay better than your previous job, however our expectations are higher as we will be the only fine casual restaurant in Newton and the Chef de Cuisine will be working everyday in the kitchen alongside the staff. ($14 to $20 depending on position and experience)

Servers/Bartenders - We are looking for both, but prefer individuals to be available for both positions, as well will get a bump in hourly pay and days worked. We are going to be an elevated bar for the area so only bartenders with experience in CRAFT cocktail experience or individuals that are willing to take direction and learn. If you do not have experience, you could be considered if you are a great SALESMEN and can pick up the skills quickly. ($4 to $10 depending on position and experience; $6 minimum if trained as both server and bartender)

Runner/Server Assistant - Looking for candidates that have great communications skills and reliable, but also have the desire to more up to better positions as well as the tenacity to learn new skills to get there. ($6 to $12 depending on role and experience, will additionally be in the tip pool from servers/bartenders)

Host - We are looking for a host primarily to greet and seat guests, but additionally if you are organized and can organize reservations, generate a regular base with consistent contact with frequent guests I can introduce an incentive program for additional money based on reservations made. ($10 to $16 depending on role and experience, with potential for additional revenue through Maitre D program if qualify, also depending on server/bartender tip pay out potentially)

Additionally, to these individual requirements we will require Sunday availability, we will be open Sunday evenings to start, but eventually Sunday Brunch. The restaurant will be closed on Tuesdays. All positions are an At Will Employment.
