DESCRIPTION OF WORK This position supports Beaver County maintenance operations by performing skilled repair work on structures, facilities, and essential equipment. As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform the following duties: Structural Repair: Maintain and restore bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and related structures Equipment Operation: Use construction tools and machinery to complete assigned tasks Facility Maintenance: Perform repair and remodeling work for county buildings and work areas Mechanical Work: Complete minor mechanical repairs on equipment in field and shop settings Concrete Work: Build formwork and place concrete to extend the life of structures Technical Judgment: Determine appropriate methods and procedures for assigned tasks Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Work schedule may vary seasonally, due to weather, and/or based on operational needs Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $41,506 (before taxes). REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities. Special Requirements: This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License. Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions.
