Key Responsibilities
- Plan and provide total patient care through the nursing process, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs
- Direct and guide patient teaching activities to support positive health outcomes
- Supervise and coordinate activities of ancillary personnel in the emergency room setting
- Maintain standards of professional nursing practice throughout all patient interactions
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS/BCLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior emergency room nursing experience
- Iowa Mandatory Reporter certification (Child Abuse and Dependent Adult Abuse)
