Goldburd McCone LLP is seeking a Client Relations & Intake Coordinator to be the first point of contact for prospective clients of our tax, corporate, and SBA practice groups. The position involves fielding inquiries, conducting initial intake, scheduling consultations with attorneys, and guiding new clients through engagement and onboarding.

\n

\n

This role is ideal for someone who is personable, organized, and comfortable speaking with individuals and business owners who are often dealing with stressful financial or legal situations. You will work from an established intake process and scripts, but you will need good judgment to ask the right questions, identify urgency, and keep prospective clients engaged until they are signed and handed off to the case team.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to inbound calls, emails, and web inquiries from prospective clients
\n
• Conduct initial intake: gather case facts, identify the practice area and urgency, and determine next steps
\n
• Schedule and confirm consultations with attorneys and prepare intake summaries in advance
\n
• Follow up with prospective clients who have not yet engaged and track every lead through to decision
\n
• Prepare and send engagement letters, collect retainers, and complete onboarding paperwork
\n
• Hand off new matters to the case management team with complete, organized intake files
\n
• Maintain the intake pipeline and CRM, and report on lead volume, conversion, and response times
\n
• Request client reviews and referrals at appropriate points in the relationship
\n

Qualifications

\n

\n
• Experience in client intake, client relations, sales, or front-office roles at a law firm, accounting firm, or financial services company preferred
\n
• Familiarity with tax, corporate, or SBA matters is a plus; willingness to learn the basics quickly is required
\n
• Excellent phone presence and professional written communication
\n
• Strong organizational skills and consistent follow-through on open leads
\n
• Comfortable discussing fees and retainers with prospective clients
\n
• Proficiency with CRM or intake software and Microsoft Office
\n
• Bilingual candidates are a plus
\n

Compensation

\n

\n
• $55,000 – $75,000 base, depending on experience
\n
• Full-time, in-office position in our New York office
\n
