Job Summary Join the culinary team at the prestigious Delta One Lounge at JFK Airport , an exclusive VIP destination delivering a world-class dining experience to Delta's premium travelers. Operating 365 days a year from 4:30 AM to 11:00 PM, this high-profile lounge requires a culinary leader with open availability, a passion for hospitality, and a commitment to excellence. As a Sous Chef , you will play a key leadership role in supporting the Executive Chef and overseeing daily culinary operations. This is an exceptional opportunity for an energetic, innovative culinary professional who thrives in a fast-paced, luxury hospitality environment. You will help create memorable guest experiences through exceptional food quality, creative menu development, and strong team leadership. Key Responsibilities: Assists the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and controlling expenditures for the account Assists theExecutive Chef with planning and creating menus Leads and develops the culinary team Rolls out new culinary programs in conjunction with the Company's marketing and culinary team Preferred Qualifications: A.S. or equivalent experience Some progressive culinary/kitchen management experience, depending upon a formal degree or training High volume, complex foodservice operations experience - highly desirable Fine Dining - Michelin Star experience- highly desirable Institutional and batch cooking experiences helpful Comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation Must be experienced with computers; to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point), Outlook, E-mail and the Internet Must be willing to participate in client satisfaction programs/activities ServSafe certified - highly desirable Restaurant Associates is a member of Compass Group USA Compass Group is an equal opportunity employer.
