What You'll Do

• Provide specialized surgical support for Trauma Level I cases, including neuro, ortho, trauma, and general surgeries
• Assist in complex procedures such as craniotomies, VP shunts, thrombectomies, trauma organ donations, GSWs, thoracotomies, and urology procedures
• Operate and handle specialized equipment including DaVinci XI robotic system
• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments
• Ensure proper handling and processing of surgical instruments and supplies
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient care during procedures
• Support surgical team in diverse cases such as ENT, plastics, gynecology, laparoscopic, and oral maxillofacial surgeries

What You Need

Required:

• Valid CST certification, BCLS certification, NBSTSA certification
• Minimum 2 years of surgical tech experience with trauma and neuro cases
• Proven experience in Level I trauma settings
• Skills in neuro, ortho, trauma, neuro spine, craniotomies, and complex surgeries
• Ability to operate DaVinci XI robotic system and other advanced surgical equipment

Preferred:

• Experience with flap procedures, scopes, and gynecological laparoscopic procedures
• Familiarity with dilation & curettage and other minimally invasive techniques

About the Assignment

This position is based at a leading hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana, specializing in trauma and high-acuity surgical care. The role involves assisting in a wide range of complex surgeries, ensuring patient safety and surgical success. The shift is scheduled Monday through Thursday, 7 am to 5:30 pm, with call requirements for neuro cases.
