Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical (Nights)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with a typical patient ratio of 1:6
• Monitor and assess patients, including telemetry and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Float to any Medical Surgical unit as needed based on staffing requirements
• Document patient care accurately using electronic health record systems
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support patient safety and positive outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of current Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Active Telemetry experience required
• Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly required
• Active Massachusetts RN License (must be current and verifiable)
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Active American Heart Association ACLS certification (must be in hand at time of submission)
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Willingness to float to any Medical Surgical unit
• Must have personal reliable transportation
• Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility location

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech Expanse electronic health records system
• Familiarity with working in a teaching hospital or large acute care environment
