About Company Mizuho OSI is a leader in specialty surgical tables and patient positioning products. Their portfolio includes procedure‑specific surgical tables and disposable/reusable patient care products that enhance outcomes in spine and orthopedic surgeries. Job Summary The Account Manager will generate and close sales, and provide support for Mizuho OSI medical device products and services to hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and physicians within a defined geographic territory. The role requires selling across all product lines and meeting sales quotas set by senior management. Responsibilities Gain market knowledge and maintain awareness of procedures, new technologies, and techniques to develop a sales approach. Compile and communicate competitive information on equipment and devices preferred by the marketplace. Develop professional relationships within the healthcare community in the assigned territory with physicians, hospital management, procurement, and clinical personnel. Evaluate customer needs and emphasize product features, using technical knowledge of current product capabilities and limitations. Proactively identify new business opportunities and maintain a three‑year funnel visible in Salesforce.com or other applicable technology. Negotiate terms of sale including pricing, warranty, and special features with administrative and multi‑specialty clinical personnel. Educate and train customers on Mizuho OSI products. Provide pre‑ and post‑sale demonstrations, in‑service training, and clinical support. Attend surgical cases as necessary and adhere to hospital protocols and procedures. Advise customers on equipment selection based on technical knowledge of market procedures and products. Utilize the Trust Triangle and sales tools throughout the sales process. Maintain sales activity reports and update the CRM at least once per day. Represent Mizuho OSI products at tradeshows and courses when requested. Maintain good relationships with partner roles within the Company. Provide sales coverage for vacant territories when requested. Train and mentor other Account Managers and department members. Uncrate and set up capital equipment at customer facilities. Maintain company‑issued cell phone and portable computer and participate in the vehicle program. Submit accurate expense reports in a timely manner according to the Expense Policy. Work independently to analyze problems, formulate solutions, and achieve high‑quality results. Contribute ideas for continuous improvement of the Company and the Department. Support Mizuho OSI’s business objectives and follow corporate Vision, Mission, and Values. Understand and support Mizuho OSI’s internal Quality System policies and applicable regulations. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field and 3–5 years of medical marketplace sales experience (device or capital equipment preferred). Equivalent education/experience acceptable. Excellent customer focus, urgency, and strong interpersonal and communication skills. Clear verbal and written English communication, with additional language skills a plus. Professional appearance and outgoing personality. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Windows PCs. Experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM is preferred. Calm in fast‑paced environments, able to manage multiple priorities and adjust plans as needed. Strong analytical, negotiation, and presentation abilities. Experience making formal and informal product presentations to physicians, nurses, OR staff, and executives. Ability to perform basic arithmetic, reconcile reports, and maintain attention to detail. Respect for interpersonal differences and ability to interact with all organization levels. Time management skills and ability to prioritize territory tasks. Knowledge of the Trust Triangle sales process preferred. Ability to work in an operating room environment and attend surgical procedures when necessary. Residency within 20 miles driving distance of the assigned territory and a valid driver’s license. Willingness to travel extensively (50–75% within the U.S. and Canada) and cover travel expenses. Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. Salary and Benefits Base Salary: $75,000 + commission + quarterly bonuses.
