Position: Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney
Location: Chicago, Illinois (Hybrid)
A well-established law firm is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney to join its growing team. The role involves representing employers and insurance carriers in workers’ compensation claims, handling case strategy, conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, negotiating settlements, and managing cases through resolution.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in Illinois
- 1+ years of experience handling workers’ compensation defense matters
- Hands-on experience in defense-side workers’ compensation is required for consideration
- Experience handling workers’ compensation claims, case management, settlement negotiations, and litigation
- Strong legal research, drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to independently manage cases and develop effective defense strategies
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $130,000 – $160,000. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
