Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Entry Authorization in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As an Armed Access Control Officer in a transportation setting, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, maintain a visible presence, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will use sound judgment, clear communication, and customer service skills to help deter security-related incidents and report concerns. Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and drivers while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and access-control policies at a transportation facility.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorized entry requirements, and maintain visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated facilities, rail-adjacent areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, reporting unusual conditions through established channels.
• Help to deter unauthorized access by observing activity at assigned posts and communicating policy violations or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience, or a college degree.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
