General Manager – Select Service Hotel

Salary: $75,000 to $85,000

About the Opportunity

Gecko Hospitality is conducting a search for an experienced General Manager on behalf of a select service hotel property. This is a full-time, salaried leadership role with a well-regarded brand in the extended stay and select service space.

If you've run a hotel, know your numbers, and can lead a team without a lot of corporate hand-holding, keep reading.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Overseeing all aspects of daily hotel operations including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage service where applicable.
Driving revenue performance through occupancy management, rate strategy, and expense control.
Recruiting, training, and developing property-level staff.
Maintaining brand standards and ensuring guest satisfaction scores are consistently strong.
Managing the property P&L and reporting directly to ownership or a regional operations team.
Building relationships with local accounts and corporate travel contacts to support occupancy goals.

What We're Looking For

Prior experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager at a select service or extended stay brand.
Hands-on leader who is comfortable being visible on the floor, not just in the office.
Proven track record managing hotel financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense management.
Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) and brand reporting tools.
Strong communication skills with both guests and ownership.
Brand certification or the ability to obtain it.

Compensation

Base salary: $75,000 to $85,000 depending on experience.
Benefits package varies by ownership group; details provided during the interview process.
