About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 18:30 - 07:00 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required. License: RRT or minimum of CRTT (CRT must have critical care skills/experience along with 5 years or greater experience as a therapist) Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Required skills include ABG interpretation, CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BiPAP, flow-by, troubleshooting high pressure alarms, weaning from mechanical ventilation, trach collar, high flow nasal cannula, and airway management. Description: Minimum experience of 2 years is required. First-time travelers are accepted. The patient population includes neonates, adults, and geriatrics. Guaranteed hours are not specified. Full compliance is required to start on time. If not compliant in time, the pushback could be 2 weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule. No floating is required within the facility/scope of practice unless needed. No call requirements are expected. Holidays: if one major holiday falls within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both holidays. If three major holidays fall during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. Local candidates are accepted at the same rate. Compliance documents are due prior to start. Interval documentation must be finalized at the time of submission. The maximum RTO is 7 days. Holiday RTO is not allowed if two holidays fall during the assignment. One holiday RTO may be considered if three holidays fall during the assignment. All compliance documents must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing. Modules are non-billable and will vary by specialty.
