Vendor Contract SpecialistScheels Company Goals:We strive to be the best retailer in the USA in the eyes and minds of our customers, associates, and business partners.Overview:The Vendor Contract Specialist is a foundational role focused on ensuring the reliability and accuracy of our Vendor Contract Management platform, Gatekeeper. This position is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who is eager to learn our contract management system and build strong vendor relationships. While leadership support will be provided, we are looking for someone who takes initiative, isn't afraid to ask thoughtful questions, collaborate across departments, and take ownership of the platform's daily health as they grow into their role. If you excel at data reporting, process optimization, and working collaboratively with others, this role is for you.Responsibilities:Create, configure, and maintain workflows, user permissions, and core data structures within the Gatekeeper platformManage the setup and ongoing mapping of vendor relationships between individual brands and parent companiesPerform routine performance testing and quality assurance reviews to identify system bottlenecks and ensure the platform runs smoothly for all usersServe as a trusted, internal resource for cross-functional team members when system questions or issues ariseProactively engage with internal partners to understand how Gatekeeper impacts their daily workflows and identify opportunities to better support usersCreate, update, and distribute internal how-to guides, FAQs, and system release communications as the platform evolvesBuild and deliver clear reports to leadership highlighting key utilization metrics, data health, and operational bottlenecksExecute operational project plans on time, adapting to changing business needs with a strong focus on organizational detail and continuous improvementComplete comprehensive cross-training with the Vendor Compliance team to provide support to other positions during peak volumes or as needs ariseRequirements:Customer Service:Genuinely and consistently treat co-workers, customers and business partners like they are the most important person including eye contact, a smile and a genuine "Thank you"Culture:Approach daily tasks, projects and follow-up communication with energy and sense of urgencyCultivate a deep desire to become a knowledge expert in their role with the ability to apply their knowledge and experience with great impact.Show respect and appreciation for others and ScheelsArrive to work and meetings 10 minutes earlyTeam Mentality:Genuine interest and action in helping others before yourself, regardless of recognition or rewardTeach-ability:Consistent eagerness to listen, learn, apply knowledge and accept critical feedbackAbility to adapt to a changing work environmentAbility to apply concepts of basic math, grammar, punctuation and spellingDress Code:Meets Scheels dress and grooming expectations in support of professional, clean and welcoming environment for customers, co-workers and business partnersEfficiency:Demonstrate pride and ownership of their work while meeting expected deadlinesEducation & Experience:Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business or related field. Having 2+ years of hands-on experience in vendor onboarding, contract administration, or compliance auditing is a plus.Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodationSedentary work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
