Food Service Assistant- Part Time Evenings

Facility : GSS MN Pipestone Com Location : Pipestone, MN (1311 N Hiawatha Ave, Pipestone, MN 56164, USA) Shift : Evening | Job Schedule : Part time | Weekly Hours : 12.00 | Salary Range : $15.00 - $22.50 Job Summary The Food Service Assistant is responsible for monitoring and recording proper food temperatures, maintaining clean and sanitized serving areas, preparing and serving food items, restocking supplies, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, and receiving payment for food and beverages using a computerized register. The role complies with Hazardous Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines, provides outstanding customer service, and effectively communicates with patrons and coworkers. Key Responsibilities Monitor and record correct temperature of food. Set up and maintain a clean, sanitized serving area. Prepare and serve food items. Restock food areas and supplies. Clean and sanitize equipment, including grills, beverage machines, toasters, ice cream dispensers, cash registers, computerized cash registers, steam equipment, dishwashers, and refrigerators. Receive payment for food and beverages using a computerized register. Comply with HACCP guidelines and maintain quality control standards. Provide excellent customer service and effectively communicate with patrons and coworkers. Work independently when necessary and remain on your feet for the majority of the day, walking long distances as needed. Qualifications Minimum age 16 years. Previous customer service experience; retail counting and reconciliation of money preferred. Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions. Basic math skills. On-the-job training will be provided. Depending on location, ServSafe certification and BLS certification may be required.
