Founded on rigorous scientific inquiry and a willingness to challenge long-held assumptions, Revolution Medicines is committed to changing the trajectory of disease for patients with RAS-addicted cancers worldwide. Our people are united by a shared way of working: follow the science, challenge assumptions, act with urgency and hold ourselves to a high standard of rigor—all in service of patients. The Opportunity: The Vice President, Global Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) is RevMed’s senior enterprise leader accountable for defining and executing the company’s global EHS strategy. This executive will establish the governance, operating model, talent, and management systems required to protect employees, patients, communities, and business continuity across a growing global pharmaceutical enterprise. The Vice President will lead EHS across research and development, laboratories, corporate offices, field-based commercial and medical teams, and international operations. This role will ensure RevMed is prepared to open and integrate offices worldwide, support a global sales and medical workforce, and scale responsibly through commercialization and continued geographic expansion. Global pharmaceutical EHS strategy and governance. Define the enterprise EHS vision, multi-year roadmap, policies, standards, and operating model for a global pharmaceutical company, aligned with pipeline advancement, clinical development, commercialization, product launch, and international growth. Worldwide expansion and office openings. Lead EHS due diligence, align with local and global teams evaluating site-selection criteria, design reviews, permitting, pre-occupancy readiness, emergency planning, and operational launch support for new offices and facilities worldwide; establish repeatable global playbooks that enable rapid, compliant, and culturally effective expansion. Global workforce, sales, and medical organizations. Develop scalable EHS programs for a worldwide workforce, including field sales, medical affairs, market access, remote and hybrid employees, frequent travelers, and employees working in healthcare, customer, conference, and third-party environments. Establish clear duty-of-care expectations for travel, lone work, driving, ergonomics, emergency response, and country-specific occupational health requirements. Enterprise and operational risk management. Integrate EHS risk into enterprise risk management, business planning, capital allocation, business continuity, crisis management, insurance, and executive decision-making. Global regulatory compliance and management systems. Maintain a risk-based global compliance framework addressing occupational safety, environmental protection, fire and life safety, hazardous materials and waste, biosafety, transportation, contractor safety, and occupational health requirements. Ensure global standards are translated into locally compliant programs and supported by effective audit, assurance, and management-review processes. Executive, Board, and governance leadership. Serve as the principal EHS advisor to executive leadership and the Board, as appropriate, on material risks, emerging regulatory trends, performance, crisis response, and investment priorities. Build a prevention-first culture that advances from reactive compliance to predictive risk management and operational excellence. Global EHS organization and capability. Build, lead, and develop a high-performing global EHS organization and regional network of employees, site leaders, consultants, and service providers. Establish clear decision rights, accountabilities, succession plans, and capability-development programs across countries and business functions. Globalperformance, audit, and assurance. Establish enterprise metrics, dashboards, management reviews, audit protocols, corrective-action governance, and executive reporting. Benchmark performance across sites and regions and use leading indicators, trend analysis, and risk intelligence to identify systemic issues and drive continuous improvement. Incident, crisis, and serious-event leadership. Ensure timely escalation, investigation, root-cause analysis, corrective action, and organizational learning for incidents and near misses worldwide. Provide executive leadership during significant EHS events, regulatory inspections, public-health events, and business disruptions. Operations and facilities safety. Provide strategic oversight for laboratory, office, and technical-operations safety programs, including chemical and biological safety, industrial hygiene, process and equipment safety, hazardous materials and waste, electrical safety, lockout/tagout, hot work, contractor safety, ergonomics, occupational health, indoor environmental quality, and emergency response. ESG data, disclosure, and assurance. Own the integrity and governance of EHS- and sustainability-related ESG data, including definitions, methodologies, internal controls, source documentation, validation, and executive certification. Lead preparation of relevant content for corporate responsibility reports, investor and customer questionnaires, ratings and benchmarking submissions, and required or voluntary disclosures; coordinate readiness for internal audit and independent assurance. Climate, resource, and value-chain programs. Develop a risk-based roadmap for greenhouse-gas emissions, energy, water, waste, hazardous materials, climate resilience, and responsible resource use across owned and leased locations and the pharmaceutical value chain. Establish credible baselines, targets, and performance plans, including Scope 1 and 2 emissions and, as appropriate, material Scope 3 categories involving suppliers, CDMOs, CROs, logistics providers, business travel, and other partners. Required Skills, Experience and Education: BS/BA degree in Environmental Health & Safety, industrial hygiene, occupational safety, environmental science, engineering, life sciences, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is preferred. At least 18 years of progressively responsible EHS experience, including significant executive-level leadership in the global pharmaceutical industry. Demonstrated experience leading EHS for a multinational pharmaceutical company with operations across multiple countries and regions. Executive presence and the ability to communicate complex risk, regulatory, and operational issues clearly to the Board, senior executives, employees, regulators, investors, and external partners. Strong business judgment, change-management capability, and demonstrated success prioritizing risk and investment in a fast-paced, high-growth, science-driven organization.
