Operations Business Analyst -(Analytics, sql, python basics)

Marketplace Partner Payments Financial Operations RoleThis role will be a key contributor to the Marketplace Partner Payments Financial Operations team with a primary focus on Payments Compliance as well as more general payment related activities. In this role, you will partner cross-functionally to understand the seller journey, how data is data collected and managed for the purpose of tracking and controlling seller compliance and mitigating the exposure resulting from non-compliance and fraud.Specific areas of focus include:How sellers provide and change their tax and payment informationEnsuring that the data is properly formed and verifiedManaging data sharing across teams and our payment processorsEnsuring data integrity and adhering to data privacy guidelinesData analysis and reportingProcess automation and complex system integrationsImplementing internal and regulatory mandates in a user centric context where clarity and consistency of the user experience are leveraged to maximize adoption and minimize seller friction/attritionInterface design and user interaction flowsUnderstanding and resolving operational issues in coordination with support teamsAbility to develop user support documentation to be used by support teamsGeneral payments, accounting and finance conceptsKey success criteria:Strong analytical aptitudeDriving ownership and accountabilityStrong customer advocateExcellent people skillsUses data and analysis to drive decisionsFosters trust with internal partnersValues team dynamics and inputsCommitment drivenAttention to detailsBias for actionQualifications:Business/Finance degree with minor in Computer Science/Statistics or Computer Science/Statistics with a minor in Business/FinanceStrong organizational skills (PMP, ACP certification)Excellent SQL and Excel skillsAbility to analyze large datasets, summarize findings and make actionable recommendationsExperience with agile/lean principles to effectively manage requirements, prioritize workstreams and drive quality implementationsWill this role be hybrid?YesIf hybrid, how many days per week will need to be in office?Preferred 5 in office (Sunnyvale or San Bruno).
