Seaside Health System - Part Time Physical Therapist We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Part Time Physical Therapist to join our team at Seaside Health System in Baton Rouge, LA. As a Physical Therapist with our organization, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients and their families. Job Summary: As a Part Time Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for examining patients, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing hands-on therapy to improve their ability to move, reduce or manage pain, restore function, and prevent disability. You will work closely with patients and their families to educate them about the recovery process and provide support and guidance throughout their rehabilitation journey. Responsibilities: Review patients' medical histories and diagnose patients by observing their movements and listening to their concerns Develop individualized treatment plans for patients, outlining clear goals and expected outcomes Use exercises, stretching, equipment, and hands-on therapy to manage patients' pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury Record patients' progress and modify the plan of care as needed Educate patients and family members about the recovery process Consult with patients to learn about their physical condition and symptoms Assist patients with the use of equipment such as wheelchairs or walkers Advise patients and family members about in-home treatment options and exercises Qualifications: Master of Science or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program Successful completion of National Certification Examination Valid PT license in the state of practice Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities Work Environment: This job operates in a health care setting, requiring regular walking to various locations around the care center Incumbent may be exposed to virus, disease, and infection from patients and specimens in the working environment Incumbent may be required to work extended periods of time at a video display terminal Incumbent may experience traumatic situations, including psychiatric and deceased patients We look forward to hearing from you! #J-18808-Ljbffr Seaside Health System
