Monday-Friday: 7am-3pm U-Haul offers its Materials Planner: Full medical coverage, if eligible Prescription plans, if eligible Dental and vision plans Registered Dietitian Program, if eligible Gym Reimbursement Program Weight Watchers, if eligible Virtual doctor visits Career stability Opportunities for advancement Valuable on-the-job training Tuition Reimbursement Program Free online courses for personal and professional development at U-Haul University® Business-travel insurance You Matter Employee Assistance Program Paid holidays, vacation and sick days, if eligible Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) 401(k) savings plan Life insurance Critical illness/group accident coverage 24-hour physician available for kids MetLaw Legal Program MetLife auto and home insurance Mindset App Program Discounts on cell phone plans, hotels and more LifeLock identity theft protection Savvy consumer-wellness programs - from health-care tips to financial wellness Dave Ramsey’s SmartDollar Program U-Haul Federal Credit Union membership Primary Responsibilities: Plans, organizes, directs and controls activities related to the production planning and scheduling function to achieve on time delivery and inventory goals; generates master production schedules for each manufacturing area Acts as a liaison with manufacturing, sales, engineering, purchasing and other related departments on matters pertaining to schedules, production, methods, materials and designs to resolve day-to-day production problems Keeps schedules valid based on schedule execution feedback from manufacturing and purchasing Responsible for working with manufacturing to meet inventory accuracy goals Responsible for developing the cycle-count program policies and procedures, and providing weekly information concerning inventory errors, root causes, corrective actions and progress toward the goal Responsible for managing the Excess-Inventory Program Develops capacity-based production plans that meet customer requirements and support on-time delivery and inventory goals Performs capacity planning techniques, both at the Master Production Schedule Level and at the Shop Order Level to ensure that resources are in place to support the master production schedule Manages the purchase part planning and shop scheduling functions Responsible for maintenance of all databases required to maintain material systems and inventory Maintain minimum and maximum inventory quantities necessary to maintain smooth material flow and increase inventory turns Monitors and maintains key metrics goals for the Material Department and issues corrective action for noncompliance Qualifications: Leadership responsibility for the successful implementation of MRP and lean-manufacturing processes Detail oriented and able to prioritize multiple tasks Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) Excellent project-management skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision Demonstrate knowledge and proven success in inventory reduction. Proven ability and success in cost-reduction strategy development and execution Prior SAP experience is a plus, with awareness of the nuances and behaviors of SAP Minimum of three years of planning experience in a manufacturing environment Must have a working knowledge of standard inventory-control procedures Computer proficient in MS Office and can format charts and spreadsheets Excellent project-management skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision Demonstrate knowledge and proven success in inventory reduction.
