Details High acuity Med Surg / Respiratory Care Unit with 16 beds Patient population includes COPD, PNA, CHF, DKA, DM1&2, pleural effusions, and pneumothorax cases requiring chest tubes and Pleurex drainage catheters Patient ratios typically 4-5, occasionally 6 12-hour night shifts, 7p-7a, 3 shifts per week No on-call requirements May be required to float to Concord Hospital-Laconia or Concord Hospital-Franklin Requirements Active NH or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration (temporary license not accepted) BLS certification required NIHSS certification required prior to start ACLS certification preferred Minimum 1-2 years of Med Surg experience required Critical Care RN experience considered if fluent with Med Surg ratios and acuity Experience with trachs, vents, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen required Tele competency required Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required Updated resume documenting 2 years of specialty experience and travel history required for consideration Skills checklist matching specialty required Driver's license with address matching demographics required NURSYS report verifying all active RN licenses required Additional Information Provide direct patient care on a high acuity Med Surg / Respiratory Care unit Weekly orientation provided Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a local rate Returning perm staff eligible to apply as travelers after a 12-month break in service 3 professional references required once committed, including 2 from leadership First-time travelers will be considered for this position American Traveler Job ID P-746489.
