License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
Certifications: Required Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor.
Must-Have: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor.
Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or TEAM-A.
AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS.
AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS.

The Registered Nurse delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
The RN supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff and coordinates care with other disciplines.
Utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment is essential.


The job requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) as preferred education.
The RN must collect relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
Analyzing the assessment data is crucial in determining diagnosis and care issues.
Developing a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes is a key responsibility.
The RN implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
Evaluating progress toward attaining outcomes is part of the role.
Identifying outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation is essential as well.
Collaboration with the team of patients, family, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe and caring environment is required.
The RN provides learning opportunities for patients and family members and directly provides health information to them.
Participation in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care is a responsibility.
Appropriate delegation and coordination of duties among healthcare team members are also required.
Other job-related duties may be assigned as necessary.
