Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Olympia, WA | Acute Care

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 3×12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Every Other Weekend Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-volume emergency department serving approximately 170 patients per day across all age groups
• Deliver nursing care aligned with Level I stroke and cardiac center standards, as well as Level III trauma protocols
• Document and manage patient records using EPIC electronic health record system
• Float between like units within your skill set as operationally required
• Commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
• Must be willing and able to float between like units within skill set
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for a travel contract
• All requested time off must be submitted upfront at the time of submission; post-offer RTO requests may not be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-volume or Level I/II trauma emergency department setting
• Familiarity with stroke and cardiac emergency protocols
• Ability to adapt quickly to varying patient acuity and unit environments
