Job Opportunity – Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) RN – Texas

Start Date: October 27, 2026

Location: San Antonio, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12.5-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, rotating weekends, 36 guaranteed hours per week. 13 to 26-week assignment available. No call required.

• Manage critical cases including chest tubes, intubations, central lines, arterial lines, and complex wound care
• Gain exposure to advanced critical care technologies including IABP and CRRT
• Utilize Meditech electronic medical record system in a high-acuity ICU environment

Requirements:

• Active Texas RN license (temporary licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2-3 years of ICU nursing experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIH Stroke Certification required
• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
• MICU and MSICU background strongly preferred
• Previous experience with IABP and CRRT preferred
• Meditech experience preferred
• Ability to float within facility based on organizational policies
