The Legal Podcast Network helps attorneys and other professionals build authority through done-for-you podcast production.

We're a growing, remote service business preparing for significant expansion. We have a talented team and a strong foundation, but our operations need to become more consistent and scalable to support our next stage of growth.

\n

We're looking for an experienced VP of Operations who can lead our people, strengthen execution, and build the operational capacity to grow without sacrificing client experience or quality.

\n

The Role

\n

\n

You'll report directly to the CEO and lead the teams responsible for Customer Success, Production, Fulfillment and Content.

\n

\n

You'll inherit an established team of department leaders and a distributed international workforce. Your job is to strengthen that team, establish clear accountability, improve how departments work together, and ensure we can consistently deliver on what we sell.

\n

\n

This is a hands-on leadership role. We're not looking for someone who spends their days completing individual contributor tasks, but we're also not looking for someone who simply points others in a direction and waits for results.

\n

\n

We need a leader who's willing to roll up their sleeves, get close enough to the work to understand what's happening, solve problems alongside the team when needed, and then build the systems and accountability that allow others to execute consistently.

\n

You'll have meaningful ownership of operational results, with clearly defined decision-making authority and accountability.

\n

What You'll Own

Client Retention and Experience

\n

\n

• Diagnose why clients leave and lead improvements that increase retention.
\n
• Establish clear service standards and accountability across the client journey.
\n
• Improve onboarding, client communication, and consistency of delivery.
\n

\n

\n

Operational Capacity and Scalability

\n

\n

\n
• Build the staffing, systems, and processes needed to support significant growth.
\n
• Anticipate capacity constraints before they affect clients or team performance.
\n
• Improve handoffs and coordination across departments.
\n
• Identify and eliminate recurring operational problems.
\n

Leadership and Team Performance

\n

\n
• Lead, coach, and develop existing department leaders.
\n
• Establish clear ownership, expectations, and performance measures.
\n
• Evaluate staffing needs, develop talent, and make hiring or personnel changes within agreed authority.
\n
• Build accountability without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
\n

Execution and Continuous Improvement

• Translate company priorities into clear operational plans and measurable outcomes.
\n
• Use an Agile, iterative approach: prioritize, implement, test, learn, and improve rather than waiting to build a perfect solution.

• Establish a practical operating rhythm that keeps work moving and problems visible.
\n
• Make timely, informed decisions without requiring unanimous agreement.
\n
• Track and improve retention, service quality, delivery capacity, and operating efficiency.

What We're Looking For

\n

• Proven experience scaling operations in a B2B service-based business, ideally one within the Marketing industry with recurring revenue and complex client delivery.
\n
• Experience leading managers and directors, not just individual contributors.
\n
• Experience managing distributed, international teams and contractors across time zones.
\n
• Strong understanding of capacity planning, operational performance, and process improvement.
\n
• A practical, Agile approach to execution, with experience implementing improvements incrementally.
\n
• Ability to identify root causes and solve problems without creating unnecessary complexity.
\n
• A decisive leader who gathers relevant input, makes the call, and takes responsibility for results.
\n
• Confident enough to challenge the CEO with facts, sound judgment, and clear recommendations.
\n
• Comfortable working with a fast-moving, entrepreneurial founder while bringing independent judgment and a leadership style of their own.
\n
• Strong communicator who can lead through change and earn the trust of an established team.
\n
