Location: 2510 West Bert Kouns Industrial Loop, Shreveport, LA

Start Date: 05/18/2026

End Date: 08/15/2026

Shift: 19:00–07:00 (12-hour nights)

Hours/week: 36-40 hours

Employment Type: Contract / Travel

License/Certs: BLS, ACLS, PALS (NRP preferred)

Experience: Minimum 2 years PICU experience; cross-training to Adult ICU/Med/Tele preferred

Hourly Pay Rate: $53.60/hour

What You'll Do

• Provide skilled nursing care to pediatric patients in the ICU setting
• Manage complex patient conditions such as DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, and post-surgical recovery
• Titrate medications including pressors, insulin, Heparin, and sedation agents
• Perform and assist with IV placements, CVL placements, wound care, and drains
• Collect blood samples and perform phlebotomy
• Collaborate with hospital staff, including intensivists, hospitalists, RTs, and educators
• Follow established protocols and EMR documentation using Meditech Expanse

What You Need

Required:

• Active RN license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
• Minimum 2 years PICU experience
• Ability to perform PIV, CVL, telemetry, and titration of critical medications
• Comfortable with cross-training and floating to adult ICU or Med/Tele

Preferred:

• NRP certification
• Experience with neuro cases, drains, wound vacs, and complex patient care
• Strong critical thinking and multitasking skills
