Front Office Assistant

Assist the principal in all aspects of running the building front office. Duties include: publications, communications, employee and student record keeping, report cards, managing CA-60 files, pupil accounting, providing service to parents/students/visitors, state mandated reports, reception duties, and the day-to-day tasks commonly found in a fast-paced office setting.

Qualifications: Associate degree in secretarial, business, or related field desired, but not required. Experience and knowledge of school law, privacy laws, state-mandated reports, and previous office experience desired, but not required. Demonstrated proficiency on office computers, Microsoft Professional Office Suite, and other technologies used in a business office environment. Demonstrated competency in writing, preparing business letters, and mass mailings. Demonstrated positive verbal and written communication skills appropriate for a front office setting, as well as organizational skills to manage a fast-paced environment. Ability to cultivate positive public relations with community members, students, district personnel, IISD personnel, and work well in a team environment. Ability to perform basic bookkeeping tasks including deposits, payables, and account reconciliations. Ability to work with and maintain confidential information regarding staff and students. Knowledge of PowerSchool student information system desired, but not required.
