Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Nurse – Asheville, North Carolina

Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Schedule: Every other weekend required. Day and night shift positions available.

Highlights:

• 44-bed Progressive Care Unit specializing in neuro and trauma care
• Patient ratios of 4:1 at standard grid, 5:1 stretched
• Cerner EMR system utilized throughout facility
• Work with advanced equipment including IV pumps, chest tubes, PCA pumps, trachs, and patient lifts
• Collaborative environment with experienced nursing team and clinical support staff
• Floating limited to stepdown and medical-surgical units

Requirements:

• Current RN license in North Carolina
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certification (required)
• Neuro and trauma care experience (required)
• Progressive care or stepdown unit experience strongly preferred
• Ability to manage complex patient care including chest tubes, PCA pumps, lumbar drains, feeding tubes, and blood transfusions
• Proficiency with patient assessments including neuro and spinal checks, C-collar placement, and TLSO brace application
