About the Position

# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Progressive Care / Telemetry – North Carolina**Start Date:** November 8, 2026 **Location:** Asheville, North Carolina **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Days or nights available; every other weekend required; no on-call

Highlights:

• 20-bed inpatient overflow unit with mixed medical-surgical and step-down patient populations
• Patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6 depending on acuity level; short-stay focus with quick turnover
• All telemetry patients hardwired to bedside monitors; progressive care environment
• EMR system: Cerner
• Day shift staffing includes charge nurse, 4 RNs, and 2 CNAs; night shift similarly staffed

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina RN license (or eligibility for licensure)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Telemetry competency required
• Progressive care or step-down nursing experience required
• Recent progressive care experience strongly preferred
• Flexibility to float to other units as needed
