Job Summary
The healthcare provider is seeking an ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Nurse in Albemarle, NC. The position involves providing critical care to patients with diagnoses such as sepsis, COPD, CHF, stroke, MI, respiratory illnesses, and more. The role requires working night shifts in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment within a 10-bed ICU and 4-bed step-down unit.

Job Details

• Position Description: ICU RN needed to start as soon as possible at a facility with 109 licensed beds, no trauma designation, and an advanced primary stroke center.
• Required Qualifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications, 18 months to 2 years of ICU RN experience, NC licensure, and the ability to work night shifts with 12-hour shifts (minimum 36 hours per week).
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Experience with stroke assessments, cardiac rhythm interpretation, critical care drips, vent management, and various bedside procedures is preferred. Fluency with electronic medical records, intra-vascular lines, and critical medication titration is required. The assignment involves possible floating to various facilities within the region, including Med/Tele, ICU, PCU, ED, and Behavioral Health units, with orientation provided. The unit maintains a team-focused culture where communication and constructive feedback are valued.
