The Maintenance Supervisor oversees daily maintenance operations, including scheduling, assigning, and monitoring maintenance and repair activities for building systems, equipment, and facilities. Responsibilities include coordinating preventive maintenance programs, inspecting equipment and work areas, responding to service requests, and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and general building issues. The role involves supervising maintenance personnel or contractors, ensuring adherence to safety standards, maintaining inventory of tools and supplies, and documenting work orders and maintenance records. The Maintenance Supervisor collaborates with office leadership to prioritize projects, support a safe working environment, and minimize disruptions to legal operations.QualificationsSupervisory Skills: Ability to lead maintenance staff or vendors, delegate tasks, provide guidance, and monitor performance.Equipment Maintenance & Preventive Maintenance: Experience maintaining building systems and equipment, and implementing scheduled preventive maintenance plans.Maintenance & Repair: Proficiency in general building maintenance, repairs, and basic carpentry, plumbing, or electrical tasks.Troubleshooting: Strong diagnostic skills to identify and resolve facility and equipment issues efficiently.Additional qualifications: Knowledge of safety regulations and OSHA standards; strong organizational and record-keeping skills; effective communication with internal stakeholders and external contractors.Preferred background: Prior experience as a maintenance lead or supervisor in commercial or office environments; familiarity with work order systems; ability to lift and move equipment as required.Education and credentials: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance, facilities, or a related field is beneficial; relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, electrical, or building maintenance) are a plus.
