# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Texas

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Austin, Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating weekends, no call requirements

Highlights:

• Seasonal 13-week contract in a 32-bed Level IV high-volume Labor and Delivery unit
• Patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:1 depending on acuity, ensuring optimal patient care
• Collaborative team environment with approximately 150 staff members including charge nurses and co-charge nurses on each shift
• Meditech EMR system with advanced monitoring equipment including Novii, JADA, Fetal Pillow, IUPC, FSE, and Toco
• Comprehensive case mix including spontaneous vaginal deliveries, cerclages, cesarean sections, and TOLAC
• Potential for permanent placement opportunities available

Requirements:

• Current Texas RN license or compact state licensure
• BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications required
• STABLE and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• Competency in electronic fetal monitoring, sterile vaginal exams, and C-section circulation
• Internal monitor placement competency preferred
• Previous experience in Level IV high-volume units strongly preferred
