Job Description
A healthcare system in Zanesville, OH is seeking an experienced Director of Clinical Engineering. This role is responsible for managing the full scope of biomedical services at the facility, including leadership of technical teams, compliance oversight, strategic alignment with executive stakeholders, and continuous process improvements. The ideal candidate is a high-level HTM (Healthcare Technology Management) leader with a hands-on background and a strategic mindset. Responsibilities: Direct all clinical engineering operations within the healthcare system Supervise and mentor supervisors and biomedical technicians Ensure equipment maintenance, calibration, and repair meets regulatory and quality standards Collaborate with hospital leadership to align HTM efforts with patient care goals Oversee compliance with CIHQ, DNV, and JCAHO standards Manage department budgets, vendor contracts, and capital planning projects Lead improvement initiatives and support team development
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience Minimum 5 years managing biomedical services in a large healthcare environment Proven collaboration with executive leadership on HTM strategy Strong business acumen with a focus on service excellence Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing technical teams Expertise in regulatory compliance and healthcare safety protocols
