• Schedule: 3 shifts/week, 12+ hours per shift, clinics open 7 days/week, 8:00 AM 8:00 PM
• Hours/week: 36 hours (approximate)
• Experience: Previous urgent care NP experience preferred
• Licenses/Certifications: Valid Nurse Practitioner license, BLS, appropriate state licensure
• Credentialing Timeframe: days

What You ll Do

• Provide urgent care services to a diverse patient population, including minor procedures such as laceration repairs, I&D, splinting, and castings
• Perform diagnostic assessments, interpret X-rays and EKGs, and conduct point-of-care testing
• Manage acutely ill patients and stabilize higher acuity cases for transfer
• Document all patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care
• Follow patient flow and protocols to maximize clinic efficiency

What You Need
Required:

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Virginia
• BLS certification
• 3+ years of urgent care or emergency care experience as an NP
• Proficiency in suturing, I&D, splinting, and diagnosing common urgent care conditions

Preferred:

• Experience with orthopedic injury stabilization
• Ability to handle a high patient volume ( patients/day)
